Application Process

GET INFORMATION

  • Visit FLA either by scheduling a tour, Open House, or virtual Open House
  • During the school year, schedule a “Guardian for a Day” if applicable/available
  • If FLA determines that the student is a good match for FLA, you’ll be sent a link to our online application

APPLY

  • Submit an application
  • Schedule an interview with the FLA principal and take a placement test
  • If FLA determines that the student is still a good match for FLA, you’ll be sent your link to enrollment

ENROLL

  • Submit Enrollment Packet
  • Sign Tuition Contract and Student Handbook
  • Welcome to FLA and attend orientation

At Faith Life Academy, we are transparent about costs and strive to keep tuition affordable for every grade level so families can have the tailored education for their child(ren) that they’re looking for in a God-honoring, family-centered, safe, creative learning environment.

  • APPLICATION FEE

    $100 nonrefundable fee per student ($200 maximum per family) due at the time of application. After 6/1, the application fee is $150 nonrefundable fee per student ($300 maximum per family)

  • STUDENT TRANSPORTATION

    $1,000 per student transportation fee from the New Albany campus to Powell


  • FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

    Current students can apply for scholarships through the Ohio Christian Education Network (OCEN).  Apply here https://ohiocen.org/ocen-sgo/apply/.

  • Financial aid opportunities

  • What time does the school day start and end?

    In 2024/2025


    8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.


    Drop off is 15 minutes before school starts.


    Pick up is at 3:30 p.m.

  • Do you wear uniforms?

    Yes, uniforms are worn at Faith Life Academy.  Details will be forthcoming. 

  • What is the average class size?

    Elementary grade classes will have a max of 12 students per class.


    Middle and high school grade classes will have a max of 16 students per class.


  • Do you have a lunch program?

    We do not have a lunch program.  We ask all students to bring a packed lunch from home.


  • My child has special academic needs. Can you accommodate him/her?

    As part of the application review process, we will determine if we can provide the services needed to support your student's unique needs. Please provide all of the information and details during the application process.


  • Is there security on campus?

    The safety of our students, staff, servant leaders, and guests is one of the highest priorities here at Faith Life Academy. All doors remained locked throughout the day and can only be opened by teachers and staff. Anyone on campus must have a background check if remaining on campus for a prolonged period. Any contract workers must sign in, have a visitor's badge, and be escorted on campus during school hours.



  • Is FLA chartered?

    As of June 2024, FLA is chartered by the Ohio Department of Education

  • Does Faith Life Academy accept EdChoice Scholarship for tuition?

    Yes, once a student is enrolled in Faith Life Academy, you can apply for Edchoice dollars

  • Do you provide bus transportation?

    Van transportation is provided from the Faith Life Church New Albany Campus (2407 Beech Rd., New Albany, Ohio 43054) to Faith Life Academy (284 S. Liberty St. Powell, Ohio 43065) at an additional cost. The van departs from New Albany at 7:30 a.m. and returns students by 4:15 p.m.  Space is limited, so apply for van transportation ASAP if you would like to utilize it.

  • Do you have after school clubs or extracurricular activities?

    No. We do not currently have any clubs or extracurricular activities on-site. However, we are partnering with Faith Life Church, and the Columbus Crusaders for extracurricular activities and sports options.

  • What credentials do your teachers have?

    All of our teachers have at least a bachelor's degree. Each teacher has signed and agreed with our Statement of Faith. They all come from various

    backgrounds and have different expertise. All teachers are committed to instructing our students in the ways of the Lord and teaching subjects from a Christian worldview.

Student enrollment at Faith Life Academy on October 23, 2024, was 92 students.
